Your First Visit

Day one:

New patient forms -

Prior to arriving at Align Spinal Care you can complete your new patient paperwork via the JaneApp, which we will send to you via email after you book. This can cut down on wait times and allows you the freedom to complete your forms at your own pace.

Consultation -

Next, you will have consultation with one of the doctors to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for the doctors to learn more about you, your condition, and expectation to determine if NUCCA chiropractic care is the right fit for you.

NUCCA Examination -

After your consultation, one of the Align Spinal Care doctors will complete a NUCCA chiropractic examination. This examination is designed to evaluate your body imbalance. This is determined by a functional short leg length test and postural measurements. These tests give us the opportunity to gather information about the severity and complexity of your misalignment. Additional tests may be performed on a case by case basis if more information is needed.

NUCCA Imaging Studies -

For those individuals that present with body imbalance, precise upper cervical images are taken. What differentiates NUCCA care from other approaches are the lengths we take to objectively measure your misalignment. Your health is extremely important, not seeing the exact position of your misalignment promotes uncertainty. The foundation of the NUCCA technique is our precise imaging analysis, using mechanics and biophysics to calculate a formula for each correction. In preparation for your next visit, the doctor will spend over an hour analyzing your images. Great care is taken to calculate the specific formula for each individual patient, no two spinal corrects are alike.

There will be no adjustment on your first visit.

Day two:

Report of Findings -

In your Report of Findings on your second visit, your doctor will answer three most important questions patients have:

  1. Can you help me?
  2. What do you recommend that I do to get better?
  3. How much is this going to cost?

After reviewing your health history, your examination findings, and explaining your images, the doctors will discuss a customized corrective plan with you. Your corrective plan is designed to get you the best results for the least amount of cost, in the shortest amount of time, depending on your specific needs and circumstances.

NUCCA treatment -

The NUCCA correction is applied by hand with a gentle contact just below the ear. Although the primary focus is the upper neck, the NUCCA procedure affects the highest control centers governing body balance: therefore, influencing the entire spine and all body systems. Many patients find the correction to be a relaxing procedure. To determine if the calculated formula has maximized your correction, immediate post-correction checks are done. Leg length, postural measurements on the Anatometer, and post-images are taken to ensure that undo stress is off of the joints, ligament, and nerves. This returns the body to its natural, healthy balance allowing it to heal.
